Automation Controls Engineer

Salary: £45,000 to £60,000 + benefits, dependent upon experience

Based: Somerset (relocation will be supported)

The controls engineer role will form an integral part of our automation group, working with other engineering disciplines to design systems. You will design and develop software as well as commission customers equipment to deliver world leading, innovative manufacturing solutions for the electric motor manufacturing market.

You will be involved from end to end on projects, from initial scoping to commissioning, designing and delivering bespoke Automation solutions for the manufacture of Electric Motors - you should have proven experience of:

  • Producing electrical and controls architecture and to facilitate the purchase of all control elements for our systems.
  • Vision system programming (e.g., Keyence, Cognex).
  • Robot programming (e.g., ABB, KUKA).
  • Configuring and designing HMI systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradly, Omron, Mitsubishi).
  • Programming logic controls (PLC) (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradly, Omron, Mitsubishi).
