Data analytics programme manager
Location: UK (home-based, minimum requirement of 2-3 days per month in Leicestershire)
Circa£75,000-£95,000 + bonus + car allowance and excellent benefits
Our client is a leading scientific division of a global FMCG manufacturer and employer of choice - and therefore is able to offer their employees fantastic opportunities for personal development. They operate within nutrition, health and wellbeing research, pioneering many important breakthroughs in understanding, collaborating with some of the world’s foremost scientific institutes and being at the forefront of scientific research in this area for more than half a century. As such, they generate a wide range of high-quality data from their operational and research activities at their state-of-the-art facility, as well as utilising and actively acquiring a wider worldwide ecosystem of assets, which they in turn use to develop new insights and better understanding within their field.
They now seek a talented data analytics programme manager/research manager to join the growing data analytics team to shape the programme of big data activities and manage it on a daily basis. This will require proven influencing and programme management skills to positively interact with a range of stakeholders including data science experts and those from other areas of specialism.
The data analytics programme manager will build and manage a portfolio of value-adding projects, working in partnership with a diversity of stakeholders across the global business. This will require a good understanding of life sciences research, excellent stakeholder management skills, strategic leadership, as well as change management experience.
The successful candidate will be UK based and there is a requirement to work on site in Leicestershire 2-3 sequential days per month.
• Shape the programme of 'powered-by-data' science in terms of organisation and content based on the strategic goals and on divisional needs (in partnership with the Senior Research Manager).
• Manage the programme of 'powered-by-data' science projects on a daily basis including resourcing, prioritisation, progress tracking, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Lead a number of 'powered-by-data' science projects. Manage budget, time, and quality for work executed up to a relatively granular technical level. Conduct project communication and stakeholder management.
• Support the Senior Research Manager in identifying, developing and managing talent in data science.
