Our client, a specialist provider of high-quality care and support for adults with learning disabilities, is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and committed General Manager to join their friendly and hardworking team. This role can be full-time or part-time as part of a job share with flexibility on hours worked. The primary function of the role is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the clients, staff and managers on a day to day basis within the relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks.

As a part of the dedicated management team within this well-established business, your role is likely to be varied, therefore you must have a can-do and calm approach to your work, accepting that priorities can often change.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure services are delivered in line with contractual expectations and legislative and regulatory frameworks.
• Lead staff performance and support managers with disciplinary matters, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations regarding training, registration and supervision of staff.
• Lead health and safety, ensuring compliance with legislation for the safety of all staff and clients.
• Oversee recruitment, training and development of staff, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements regarding recruitment, management, safeguarding and reporting in services.
• Contribute to service delivery, including participating in an on-call system
• Oversee the general administration of the service
