They have new PE backers, that are supportive, encouraging, keen to invest in technology, change and growth, with the aim of seize the enormous opportunity that exists in their marketplace. In support of this, they seek to appoint a high calibre FP&A Analyst with great potential, that shall be realised during months and years ahead. Additionally, the market has changed, with competitors having withdrawn or still reeling from the financial effects of the lockdown and less able to bounce back at the pace that the market is reopening. Our client is therefore able to grow like never before, and to adopt a dominant position across the industry, globally.
This role is new, with a broad remit across Financial Planning and Analysis - you will take a proactive role in shaping and managing the way that Finance interacts with the business - owning and developing the financial planning models, developing and automating of commercial reporting and providing robust financial analyses in support of business initiatives and opportunities.
o P&L ownership for sale and margin - understanding key assumption & drivers
o Balance sheet and cash flow - input assumptions, models and output
o Support Head of FP&A in the development of best practice models
o Ownership of weekly Executive Board reporting pack
o Ownership of FP&A contributions to monthly management accounts
o Support in the ongoing development and improving of the analytical content of the weekly and monthly Board reporting
o Monthly ROCE analysis versus budget and 3 yr plan
o Ad hoc commercial analysis to identify areas of improvement, evaluation of potential opportunities
o Support in the creating of investment appraisals for new business opportunities and subsequent post-investment appraisals/tracking
