Our client is a fast growing, market leader in the provision of water treatment and environmental solutions for a variety of industries, who are experiencing impressive growth. Due to their ongoing growth, they now seek to appoint a capable, diligent and ambitious SHE Advisor to work at their impressive site in Monmouth with occasional need for travel to client sites. This role is fundamental in the embedding of procedures and policies throughout operations, ensuring best practices are adhered to and providing advice to the teams and senior leadership at head office and on client site.

This being a brand-new role means you will shape and drive the planning, development, coordination and maintenance of the Safety, Health and Environmental management function within this growing business. Using your excellent communication skills, you will be responsible for influencing change in current processes and implementing new processes in order to achieve the highest possible standard of health and safety.

As the SHE Advisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing SHE advice to the team, including planning, maintaining and continuously improving management systems, processes, accreditations and compliance.
  • Developing, enhancing and writing SHE policies, procedures, guidelines and templates.
  • Creating a first-class SHE function by increasing awareness and facilitating training materials for the development of staff.
  • Undertake incident and accident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
  • Provide the senior leadership team with a central point of contact and support for Safety, Health and Environmental issues.
  • Develop and conduct audits (internal and external).

Key Skills & Qualifications of the SHE Advisor:

  • Previous experience within a Health & Safety capacity.
  • NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or similar.
  • Knowledge of SO9001, IOS14001, ISO18001/45001.
  • Experience within the construction/engineering industry with site experience would be highly advantageous.
